Who I am
HRYZN is run by Joe Westgarth in North Yorkshire. I decide how the details you send me are used. For any question about your data, email joewestgarth@hryzn.co.uk.
What I collect
Only what you send through the enquiry form: your name and email, plus anything else you choose to add, such as your phone number, project details, shoot date, location and links. This website uses no tracking and no analytics, and sets no cookies unless you sign in to the client portal (see below).
The client portal
If we work together, I may give you a private portal account to watch your film, request changes, approve it and download your files. For that I store:
- your name, email address and company, which I enter when I set up your account;
- what you send through the portal, such as change requests and your approval, with the date and time;
- a record of when you sign in and download files, so I can keep your project secure;
- your IP address for a short time when you ask for a sign-in link, to stop anyone flooding the sign-in form.
There are no passwords: each time you sign in, I email you a one-time link. Signing in sets one essential cookie that keeps you signed in on that device until you sign out, or until 30 days pass without you visiting. It isn’t used for tracking or advertising. I use these details to deliver the work we’ve agreed.
Why I use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if we go ahead, to plan, film and deliver your project. I use your details because you asked me to get in touch and so I can take the steps you’ve asked for before we agree any work. I never sell them or use them for unrelated marketing.
Who else handles it
- Formspree delivers the enquiry form to my inbox. It is based in the USA.
- My email provider stores our messages.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and, for the client portal, stores accounts, project details and your full-resolution files, in Western Europe.
- Bunny.net streams the films, including the private films in the client portal.
- Resend sends the portal’s sign-in links and project emails. It is based in the USA.
- Cloudflare and Bunny.net see your device’s IP address when you visit or watch, as any website host does.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we work together, I keep project and invoice records for as long as the law requires for business records. I delete portal accounts and stored project files 12 months after your project is delivered, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, or object to how I use them. Email me and I’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
